I have the hottest keyword on the internet.
What is a keyword to a blogger?
A keyword is a certain word or string of words that a blogger optimizes in their blog in order to attain one goal; rank well in the search engines and drive in huge traffic.
Ok, that’s actually two things.
So, based on that logic, one has to search for the hottest keyword on the internet and type a blog post and wait for the traffic to pour in. Right?
Wrong.
Well, actually, It’s more than that.
Many people think that blogging for hot keywords is easy. It is easy, provided that such keyword is within your “expertise”. Like for example, if you are not into showbiz or political issues, or science, you will find it hard to type or make a post regarding such keyword. For example, if the hottest keyword is about “cell degeneration”, does it strike your interest to type a blog post about it?
Frankly speaking, I believe that this dilemma is normal to any blogger. No one has the full grasp of every topic there is in the internet (as far as I know, that is)
What should you do if this dilemma happens to you? Personally, I do the following.
1. Type about anything you like.
This may well be the most effective way to overcome this dilemma. If you’re having difficulty on typing a blog post about topics over the internet, then how about typing a topic your totally interested with? Personally, I do this when I experience “Blogger Mental Blackout”. I type about things that interest me, mostly about technology and games. I don’t type personal ones because I don’t want to rant things about myself on the internet – it won’t do any good to me, and more importantly, to my readers.
2. Check out interesting blogs/ websites and make a blog post about it.
I have done this several times here in my blog. Whenever I see something interesting over the internet, I try to write a blogpost about it here in my blog. You are not only giving fresh content to your blog, you’re also filling in your readers with something interesting and different.
3. Don’t Blog.
I really don’t recommend this because this will stagnate your blog, but if worse comes to worse that you can’t blog about anything at the moment, don’t blog. It’s good to not blog than type some keyword induced post with gibberish information.
