Motorola’s answer to IPad – Motorola Xoom.

motorola xoom, motorola atrix, xoom, droid bionic, motorola atrix 4g, motorola flipout2010 was the year we may consider  as the “year of the tablets” (well I just personally labeled that :D ). The gadget market saw a surge of computer tablet products; the likes of Apple’s IPad and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab.

And 2011 is a promising year indeed, as Motorola started the year by releasing the Motorola Xoom this Wednesday. The Motorola Xoom is a tablet computer that may be a direct competitor to the Apple IPad and Samsung Galaxy Tab.

So what does Motorola Xoom have beneath its sleek touchscreen?

Motorola Xoom Specifications:

10.1? capacitive display @ 1280×800 pixels
Dual-core NVidia Tegra 2 CPU @ 1.0GHz
1024MB RAM
5MP autofocus camera w/ dual LED flash
720p HD video recording
2MP secondary front-facing camera
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA
HDMI output
Bluetooth 2.1
Android 3.0

from the specs itself, Motorola Xoom is a very promising tablet computer.  And for its hefty specifications, it can handle all it’s supposed to do for 10 hours powered by its battery alone. Whoah, imagine watching your favorite movie in HD with this thing on the road – you won’t worry having an empty battery after watching a full length movie or two.

How about you? Would you choose the Motorola Xoom over an IPad? :D
