Yup, that may be the nearest correct description this japanese runner had when he was about to finish the race – a “Fail moment”.
The “Fail Moment” that I am referring to is when this japanese runner, Natsuki Terada, meters away from the finish line, turned on a corner thinking it was the correct way to the finish line. And you know its definitely a bad idea turning on a wrong corner when you’re just a block away from the finish line.
At first it was a “gasp” moment when he made that wrong turn, but watching the video again the second time, you’ll realize that Terada’s “Fail Moment” is quite funny. But of course, because of the magnitude of this race (the race spans 23 km), it’s just understandable that Terada might be too exhausted to concentrate on the correct running path.
Fortunately though, Terada and his Kokugakuin University finished 10th place, earning them an automatic spot for the next year’s race.
