The song “Friday” by Rebecca Black is sweeping the internet, and everybody’s loving it!
Wait, let me rephrase the first sentence of this blog entry;
The song “Friday” by Rebecca Black is sweeping the internet, and everybody’s hating it!
Yep, that’s much better.
Now I am not stating this because I personally don’t like Black’s song (well, you can say that the song’s genre is not within my taste ), but judging from her youtube video’s viewers’ reaction, the song “Friday” may well be the most “dislikes” I have ever seen for a youtube video.
As of today, the youtube video over at Youtube.com showing the “Friday” music video has received a total of 42,586,620 views with 530,530 dislikes. Yes half-a-million people watched and disliked this song.
Despite the awful chorus of the song (which is a resounding “Friiday, Friiday, Friiday” just like Justin Bieber’s “Baby”), a lot of viewers found the song catchy. Well, people have different tastes in music, right?
